What is a 511 Speed Code?

Women with cell phoneFrom the opening menu of 511 (while in speech recognition mode), you can enter a code known as a speed code. You enter the 4-digit speed code and press the pound key and it will take you directly to the park menu. Each park has a recording, and can change that recording depending on what is going on at the park. Here is a list of each state park's speed code.

How to Access

Speech mode instructions from main menu:

  • Enter park’s speed code, then the pound key
  • Or say: “Tourism,” “Parks,” and name of the park
  • To transfer to the park office, press the pound (“#”) key at any time during the recording
Touch tone mode instructions:
  • Press Star Key (*) to enter touch tone mode (will drown out background noise)
  • Press: “1” for Tourism followed by “2” for Parks
  • For Parks beginning with A, B, or C, press 2 (first letter of park name matches phone’s keypad)
  • To transfer to a selected park, press the pound (“#”) key at any time during the recording
